Henüz tarafımıza tebliğ edilmemekle beraber, Radyo ve Televizyon Üst Kurulu’nun 03.07.2024 tarihli toplantısında, Açık Radyo’nun yayın lisansının iptal edildiği öğrenilmiştir.
Yayın durdurmayla beraber verilen para cezası için karardaki gibi taksitlendirme talebinde bulunulmuş ve bu kabul edilerek ilk taksit ödenmiştir. Böylece yasaya karşı direnmek ve yargı yolu dışında bu karara karşı gelmek gibi bir niyetimizin olmadığı ve iyi niyetli bir süreç sürdürmeye çalıştığımız ortadadır.
Gelinen noktada, Açık Gazete programındaki ifade özgürlüğü ve basın özgürlüğü kapsamında olduğu tartışmasız bulunan bir ifadeden yola çıkarak Açık Radyo’nun yayın izninin iptali noktasına gelinmesi kabul edilemez bir durumdur.
Anılan kararla ilgili yasal müracaatlar elbette ki yapılacaktır. Bununla beraber, 30 yıldan beri yayın hayatına devam eden Açık Radyo, bundan sonra da aynı evrensel gazetecilik ilkeleri doğrultusunda, aynı sorumlulukla yayın hayatına devam edecektir.
Bugüne kadar her zaman yanımızda bulunan siz sevgili dinleyicilerimiz ve dostlarımız ile bundan sonra da aynı kararlılık ve aynı duygular ile beraber olmaya devam edeceğiz.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE PRESS AND THE PUBLIC
Although it is yet to be officially declared to us, we have been informed that Açık Radyo’s broadcast license has been revoked at the meeting of the Radio and Television Supreme Council held on 3 July 2024.
We had already filed a request for the payment by installments of the monetary fine issued along with the decision of temporary broadcast suspension, this request was accepted and the first installment was paid. It is thus clear that we have no intention to resist the law, or to violate this decision through unlawful means, and that we are trying to follow a well-intentioned course.
At the point we are, it is unacceptable that, on the basis of an expression, which indisputably stands within the scope of freedom of expression and press freedom, voiced during our program ‘Açık Gazete’, we now face the revocation of Açık Radyo’s broadcast license.
As a matter of course, we are naturally making all necessary legal applications. We would also like to note that, Açık Radyo, as it has done for the past 30 years, will continue its broadcast with the same responsibility, and in line with the same universal principles of journalism.
As for our dear listeners and friends, who have always stood by us, we would like to state once again that we will continue to be together with the same sentiments and determination.
